Bangladesh Film Archive is a very important national institution for the preservation of national history, heritage, and culture through the collection, preservation, and research of film materials. In 1978, under the Ministry of Information, the journey of this institution started under the name of ‘Film Institute and Archive’. It was later renamed as ‘Bangladesh Film Archive’ in 1984 on the recommendation of the Enam Committee.
